Year 11 Textiles and Design were given the opportunity to participate in a JELLY ROLL relay. Firstly teams were formed and then the fun began. Sewing even straight lines is critical in patchwork and quality control was important. The other challenge in patchwork is the management of the fabric. In this case the class had joined about 50m of fabric and then had to manage the next part of the construction. (But first we saw just how far around T block we could get). Then it was just sewing rows and rows together. And finally a well constructed and beautiful finished product.
The quilt was sold for $100 and is being given as a gift later this year. Another $100 goes to Maphutseng.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
