IPSSO Finals Results

Our 6 teams competed with great sportsmanship, winning and loosing in a godly manner.

Jr Soccer – The girls got through the semi-finals and into the finals. Our girls came 2nd overall.

Jr OzTag – St Peters out played WCCS in the semi’s.  They did not let us play our game, tagging very quickly and closing down all planned plays.

Snr Cricket – These boys missed on out on getting through to the finals by only 3 runs. Well done boys!

Jr Basketball – The team made it through to the finals, however, they were beaten in the finals. This means they came 2nd in the summer competition.

Snr Basketball – The snr basketball team were keen to get through the semi’s and into the finals.  They came up against our rivals THAC and the great news is that WCCS WON! Well Done team.

Snr Softball – They had only one game and needed to win in order to win the competition.  The team played well, there were a couple of injuries but we cam out with the WIN!

That wraps up our IPSSO Sport for 2014. Parents, thanks for all the support you showed the teams this year.  Students, make sure you keep your thoughts on which sports you will tryout for in 2015.

Enjoy the Christmas break,

God Bless

A huge congratulations to the Cricket and Softball Teams for getting into the finals for the Summer IPSSO season.

The Softball team had a challenging game against our zone rivals THAC in their first game of the day.  They played well and demonstrated good sportsmanship but unfortunately were out played by a very skilled opponent.

Thank you to the team for representing WCCS this year. A huge thank you to Mrs Rivers for taking the team.

The Cricket team have had a fantastic season.  The boys played the same type of game they have all season and came away with the trophy. Congratulations to the team for a big win for themselves and the school.
FYI the last time that WCCS won cricket at IPSSO finals was in 1997 and Mr Burgess was the coach of that team.  A huge thank you to Mr Harrison for taking the team this year.
