Change to Athletics Carnivals

Please be advised that the High School Athletics Carnival has been moved from Monday, 1st June to Tuesday, 2nd June at Campbelltown Athletics Stadium. Students are to come to school on Monday, 1st June as per usual.

Consequently, the Primary Athletics Carnival has been postponed to Monday, 22nd of June. This will take place at The Ridge Athletics track, New Illawarra Road, Barden Ridge. More details are to follow for Primary School families.

This change of plans is due to Council double booking the stadium and the fact that we must run our High School Carnival before the Zone Athletics Carnival, which is on the 18th of June.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Girls’ Soccer Gala Day – Change of details

At this stage, the Gala Day is still going ahead. However, Penrith Council will make a final decision regarding the grounds on Monday morning at 8am. Consequently, the starting time of the day has moved to 10am, to allow us to respond to the decision made.

Assuming the day is going ahead, students will now be leaving school at 8:30am. If you are meeting us at the grounds, please be there by 9:30am at the latest.

If there are any updates, they will be put on the Sport Blog, School Webpage and FaceBook page ASAP.

The finishing time for the day is also uncertain at this stage. We will know by Monday morning and will inform parents then. We will also update the various electronic sites.

Here’s hoping for a fine weekend!

Cross Country Carnival 2015

We had a fantastic sunny day for this year’s Cross Country Carnival! A special thank you to all the parents that came to support their children (even though you may have beaten the teachers in the tug-of-war event).

Congratulations to all the students who participated and thanks to our Year 9 High School students who helped out with marshaling, especially Mitchell C, who ran every single race to help guide the Primary students around the course.

The results of the carnival will be announced during tomorrow morning’s assembly.  IMG_2395 (Small)IMG_2388 (Small)IMG_2515 (Small)IMG_2653 (Small)IMG_2520 (Small)IMG_2442 (Small)    IMG_2519 (Small)IMG_2612 (Small)IMG_2466 (Small)

Primary Cross Country Carnival

Wednesday 6th May 2015

The Primary School Cross Country Carnival will be held this Wednesday, 6th May.  This involves all pupils from Year 2 to Year 6.   The distances to be run are based on the age turned this year (regardless of when their birthday is).

7 to 10 year olds run 2 kilometres

11 and above run 3 kilometres

The carnival starts at around 8:50am and finishes before lunchtime. ALL students from Year 3-6 will be attending the carnival until the carnival is finished. Year 2 students will go back to class at the end of their age appropriate races (between 9.30 and 10.00).  Students will be seated in their house groups and will be spectators for the entirety of the carnival.  There will be a carnival feel to the day with wacky races and novelty events.

Pupils are to wear Sports Uniform on the day.  If there is a serious reason why your child can’t compete, please send a note explaining this.  Otherwise, we would encourage all pupils to participate to the best of their ability.
