CBCA Short-listed Books 2016

The Children’s Book Council of Australia is a not for profit organisation which aims to engage the community with literature for young Australians. The CBCA presents annual awards for books of literary merit, for outstanding contribution to Australian children’s literature.

Over the coming weeks, I will post information about the books that made the CBC Shortlist this year .

This is a fantasy series  written by Emily Rodda.  The series is set in the same universe as Deltora Quest, The Three Doors and Rowan of Rin.

If you enjoy Diary of a Wimpy Kid…….you’ll love Big Nate.

 

The Big Nate series of books is based on the Big Nate comic strip by Lincoln Peirce. This series follows the small and sometimes large dramas of a sixth grader . Nate really doesn’t enjoy school and is very sarcastic but deep down he is a good kid. These books are very funny and are a great mix of comic strip illustrations and narrative so they are easy reads. There are many books in this series available in our library. The latest book which has only recently arrived is……………….

BIG NATE BLASTS OFF. (Book 8 in the series) . Suitable for ages approx 8-12 years.
