KC make a Multimodal text

This morning KC created their very first Multimodal text on the i Pads. We learnt that a Multimodal text is a text that you can see and hear.

We read a very funny poem called ‘The Teacher’s Show’ where all the teachers were doing funny things. You can read it below:

The Teacher’s Show

by Bruce Lansky (changed by Kindy teachers)

I have an important announcement.
I want everybody to know:
on Monday all classes are cancelled.
The teachers will put on a show.

Mrs Connellan will be juggling meatballs.
Mrs Smith will dance with a bear.
Mrs Bootsma and Mrs Dykstra will yodel.
Miss Grinsell will tear out her hair.
Mr Burgess is quite entertaining.
He does something you’ve never seen.
If you want a bad case of chicken pox,

He’ll paint them on red, white, and green.
Mrs Shaw is also performing.
She’s come up with something quite new.
She’s doing her act in the kitchen.
She’s dunking Mr McMullen in the stew.
The children of KC then created their own Show- where they were doing different things. They wrote their sentence, worked with the teacher to get the correct spelling, then wrote it neatly on a new piece of paper, and drew an awesome illustration.

We then used an app called Show Me, and the children took a photo of their edited work and added their voice to the video. I am hoping these links work! Enjoy!
