On Friday I introduced a new game to the students. One person put on a blindfold, and their partner hid a teddy bear under a cup. When the teddy bear was hidden, the child could take the blind fold off. They had to say the sound, before they could pick up the cup, in order to find the teddy bear.
On Friday, we also had some fun with our Numicon Shapes. These are an amazing resource, which can be used to teach a lot of different maths concepts. On Friday, the children were working with a friend, to place a shape inside the bag, and the other child had to ‘feel’ the shape to find out which shape it was.
Lastly, on Friday, we learnt all about books. We pretended to be detectives, to discover what books have in common.
We discovered these things about books:
We learnt that there are two different kinds of books- Fiction and Non Fiction, and we used our detective skills to find out what the differences were.
What a fantastic day of learning in KC!
