AUSTRALIAN BRAIN BEE CHALLENGE
After passing Round One in Term Two, Jasmine S (Year 10) represented the school at Round Two (regional finals) of the Australian Brain Bee
Challenge, a competition for high school students to learn about neuroscience. In addition to participating in live questions at the final, she also experienced a day of activities to educate her about neuroscience research at UNSW.
Although Jasmine did not make it to the next round (national finals) she did a great job representing the school.
TOURNAMENT OF THE MINDS
In Week five a group of students from Years 7-10 participated in the NSW Regional Final of the Tournament of the Minds.
The group had five weeks to create and design a solution to a Maths and Engineering challenge. They also had to create their props and write a ten minute script.
Although they didn’t make it to the next round, the group greatly impressed the judges with their device and their excellent costumes.
Congratulations to Kurt S, Jenna H, Jacob M, Xavia W, Xu W, Min Ki S and Jerusha J on a fantastic effort
