We used this awesome clock in Maths today and some kids asked for it to be shared on the blog. It’s a fantastic resource to help you understand time.
Thanks for all the food and decorations that got sent in for the party today. We had a fun time celebrating together! We are so proud of our achievement and are excited to work towards the next milestone together. Here is a short video from the party:
Miss Grinsell set up a photo booth in the corner and Eleni brought in some wonderful photo booth props. The photos are a great snapshot of the fun we had celebrating together as a class family. Clicking on the image will open up the fill photo booth photo strip.
Congratulations, 3G! I’m so proud of you!
The 3G book club was a great success! Everyone prepared such amazing presentations and it was incredible to hear about different books we might like to read. The presentations were so varied and we all got lots of ideas for things we could try at the next session. We had a little notebook with us to record the titles of any books we found particularly intriguing. Good news is all the books mentioned can be found at the school’s library! Happy reading everyone! We loved it so much we are going to have another book club next Friday afternoon. The homework challenge for Week 6 will be to prepare another short book presentation.
Below is the video for homework this week. Come prepared for Friday and we’ll have a lot of fun!
Here is an example of a book trailer in case you wanted to show one before your review:
Here are some phrases that might be helpful for when you are putting together your presentation:
Due to the high amount of rain predicted for tomorrow, the Cross Country has been moved to next Tuesday (23rd May). My apologies for not sending the note home this afternoon, it was a bit of a rush at the end of the day today and it is still sitting on my desk. Hopefully enough people see the message here/ on the school Facebook page.
In other news, 3G reached their goal of reading 1 000 000 words on Literacy Pro!! We will celebrate our achievement next week with a 1 000 000 words party!! What an amazing achievement to have read so many words! Our next goal is 2 000 000 words. Check out how excited we were when we found out…
3G finished NAPLAN! We had a wonderful time celebrating this achievement at the end of last week, eating doughnuts and making boomerang videos! We did our best and worked really hard. We are looking forward to continuing to learn new things and improve as the year continues. Enjoy this compilation of the celebratory boomerangs we created together:
Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful 3G Mums out there. We appreciate all you do and were so excited to spend the day showing you how much we love you today!
We hope you enjoyed the video planned and created by 3G.
Thanks to Nina and her family for bringing in her beautiful rabbit last week. 3G LOVED learning all about how to care for rabbits and think she is super cute!
For homework this week, the challenge has been set for 3G to become explorers in their own backyards. A sheet came home on Friday and needs to come back to school next Friday. You need to find and record information about a living and a non living specimen you discover in your local area. I can’t wait to see what information you discover and share with the class on Friday! Bring on another wonderful week in 3G! 🙂
3G completed another NAPLAN test today and are nearly finished! We took some more celebratory photos, this time on the oval.
This afternoon, 3G spent time working collaboratively to design our own apps. We first brainstormed and then came up with a proposal for an app that doesn’t currently exist. We had so much fun thinking creatively and working together! We are looking forward to sharing our ideas with everyone soon.
We had a wonderful day completing 2 of the 4 NAPLAN tests. We are now halfway through the process!
3G love to document all the fun things we get up to during a school day. Some people have been requesting these funny videos get uploaded. One of them is from our Karate ceremony and the other is from a race we had straight after NAPLAN this morning. Aaliyah tried to film and run in the race at the same time.
Check out these awesome clocks we made in Maths this morning!
This week 3G spent time in groups giving feedback to one another for our imaginative texts. What a fantastic way to reflect upon our own learning and the learning of others!
We have an exciting week ahead with NAPLAN, an AFL clinic and some REALLY cool collaborative tasks to work on together. Bring on week 3!
